About Moonlight AI

Moonlighting.
Done by agents.

Moonlighting used to mean a second job after hours. Our name keeps the idea and changes who does the work: you go to sleep, and your AI agents keep working. You wake up to finished work, ready for review.

The night shiftExample handoff
  1. You

    Hand off the work

Write the spec, set the boundaries, and define what done looks like.

  2. Agents

    Work the night shift

Implement, run the tests, and open a pull request with notes on what changed.

  3. You

    Review and decide

Read the diff and the eval results. Merge it, send it back, or throw it out.

Illustrative. Real handoffs depend on your codebase, your review process, and the task.

01 / Why we started

Agents don’t sleep.
They do need a good handoff.

Coding agents can work for hours without a break. They write code, run tests, and open pull requests while your team is offline.

The hard part is everything around the agent. Hand it a vague task and you get vague work. Skip the tests and the review, and overnight progress turns into morning cleanup.

We started Moonlight AI to make the night shift dependable. That means clear specs before you log off, boundaries agents can’t cross, evals that check the work, and a person who reviews it before anything ships.

The same discipline applies whether the agent is part of your product or part of your development team. It’s also why we lead teams, not just tools: someone still has to own the result.

02 / How the night shift works

You set the work.
Agents do it. You decide.

We set up the specs, context, evals, and review that let agents work unattended. Then we help your team run it without us.

Talk about your night shift
  1. 01

Hand off with a clear spec.

Agents are only as good as the task they get. Define the goal, the constraints, and how the result will be checked.

  2. 02

    Let agents work inside boundaries.

Agents implement, test, and document within limits you set. Anything risky waits for a person.

  3. 03

    Review before anything ships.

Tests and evals flag what broke. A person reviews every change before it merges or reaches users.

Not a tool reseller

We’re vendor-neutral. We recommend what fits your team, even when that’s less AI.

Not an AI-hype agency

We name the trade-offs, including when an agent is the wrong answer.

No science projects

We build systems your team can own, operate, and improve in production.
